On Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (or until supplies run out), Augusta Worship Center will host its annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway. Approximately 200 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to school-age children of all grade levels. The child must be present to receive a backpack, and bags will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to backpacks, there will also be electronic prizes given away during the event. "AWC Cares is here to help parents in the greater Augusta community,” said Bishop Johnson of Augusta Worship Center. “We understand the struggles families have encountered with rising costs in food and gas. Our goal is to equip each young person with the necessary resources to be successful.” Augusta Worship Center is a spirit-filled Pentecostal church where everyone is welcome.
