Hi, I’m Hemasri Chetty Chettim. I work in Digital Employee Experience (DEX), part of Group IT, based at the Philips Capability Center in Chennai, India. I started as an intern and am now a Software Engineer. My journey at Philips so far has been truly unique. 🚀 I build and improve software to help make employees’ daily work easier and more productive. I work on the Philips AI Chat project, an enterprise-level AI application that makes employee workflows smarter and more efficient. It’s motivating to see the features I create used in real situations. 💡 I’m also part of the Site Engagement team, where I help organize events and connect people. This is another part of my Philips experience that I really enjoy. The culture at Philips has added a whole new dimension to my experience. One thing that stood out was the inclusiveness and the extent to which learning is encouraged. As an intern, I worked on real, meaningful projects that challenged me. I was trusted as a real contributor and always felt I could approach my teammates and mentors for guidance whenever I needed it. The regular feedback I received helped me improve technically and professionally. I learned to take ownership of tasks early on, which helped push me out of my comfort zone and build my confidence. Over time, I’ve learned to handle problems with a broader and more structured perspective. As I step into the role of Software Engineer, it’s exciting to take on more responsibilities and make a bigger impact, especially as I continue my work in DEX and Philips AI Chat. I’m looking forward to new challenges and chances to grow, both personally and professionally. Outside of work, I enjoy playing carrom and taking short walks. I also like to sketch, and I’m especially passionate about mandala art, a practice I’ve kept close for years.
