I did mine with Public Bank as a sole proprietorship, so these were the things I needed: 1. I went in and told them I wanted to open a business account, and they gave me a stack of forms to fill out, sign, and return to them a few days later. (You can do it on the spot as well) 2. Prior to that, you need: - your company registration certificate from SSM (more on that in a different post) - your company stamp - can be done at most stationery shops or kiosks. In fact, there is one right next to SSM. Stamp should contain your business registration number. - your office full address. If you work from home like me, fill in your home address. You'll need to take a picture of your front door with the house number and another picture of the jalan and the lorong (road and lane) as proof of the address where your office is. - an office email (not [email protected], but [email protected]) - I'll create another post for that - a copy of your IC 3. Once submitted, the bank takes about 7 to 14 days to email you an approval. You'll also be asked if you want to create a QR code for your account. If yes, they generate a physical one for you on the spot. 4. You'll also be asked if you want to get a business credit card, subject to approval. If approved, you'll get the card in a couple of weeks. 5. You're required to put in a minimum of RM3000 into the account (which you can withdraw later) 6. Once you receive the approval email stating that your business bank account is ready, you'll be given a one-time password to open an online account for your business transactions.
