I can be a cynical person, and with both time and the internet, being cynical seems to get even easier. And then out of the blue, something happened to shake me up. Winning RevComps. It's the classic 'I didn't think it would happen to me' scenario in a good way. Of course, secretly, I always hoped it would. And sitting in bed, around 11pm, it actually did. I heard a text. I casually glanced at it and had to double take. I'd won their biggest ever tech bundle. For a moment I thought someone was joking, or even scamming me. Then I checked the website. And there it was, as in there I was. I had won. 52 items. Fifty two. Laptops, PCs, cameras, gaming consoles, 3D printers, TVs, more stuff than I could fit in a car (if I had one, of course I'm still entering for those). Within minutes, I also got an email from the team (Aaron) who was asking the best way to receive the huge delivery. Within two days, most of the boxes had arrived. The speed and efficiency of their operation is surreal at times. And although the competition world is sometimes thought of sleazy or casual, with these guys, it's not. They understand that people who enter competitions want to win them, it's not a joke. So when it happens, they take it seriously. The player and competition runner depend on each other, and it's clear there is respect from them. I have no affiliation with the company, and I write this review not necessarily for them but for the punter like me who lived in a cloud of cynicism about why they never seem to win. The bottom line is, it's luck. Buy more tickets, enter more competitions, and your odds go up. Statistically, it might make a small difference, but sometimes that's enough. Thanks to Robbie and the rest of the team for bonus I'll be thinking about for some time. And for the person seeing this review, I hope you get lucky. Until that happens, remember that true luck is being alive, and having the freedom and leisure to read this is proof.
