🐦✨🔊 This stunning bird is the Nicobar pigeon, the closest living relative of the dodo. Watch this rare beauty in action and listen to its resonant call. Native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific, it’s named after India’s Nicobar Islands where it was first recorded by European naturalists. With shimmering blue-green feathers, copper highlights, and a striking white tail, it would stand out in any forest. It can be found alone or in flocks of 20-30, and communicates with deep, guttural croaks.
