Held in a peaceful, natural setting, this experience invites you to step away from daily demands and spend intentional time alongside horses. Through gentle, guided, ground-based interactions, you’ll practice simple grounding and mindfulness techniques that help calm your nervous system, increase self-awareness, and support meaningful connection. Horses offer honest, non-judgmental feedback—helping you notice stress patterns, boundaries, and presence in a way that feels natural and deeply human. This workshop is led by Anne Ateeka Contee, LCPC, a licensed mental health therapist trained in trauma-informed, somatic, and nature-based approaches. There is no pressure to share, perform, or “fix” anything. No horse experience is required, and there is no riding—just a supportive space with your equine partner by your side. Hosted by Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, this workshop takes place in a professionally managed environment focused on safety, care, and well-being. Participants often leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and equipped with practical tools they can carry into everyday life. A previous participant wrote "This experience was life changing.
