Greetings. Hope all are well. As we walk through these days of Lent and try to use these days as time to reflect on our lives, we might just confront aspects of our lives that we may have overlooked in the past. Pope Francis presents us today with one of those aspects we may need to review. He tells us, "During Lent, let us find concrete ways to overcome our indifference." Indifference is a funny thing. We have put something out of our mind and it just does not exist anymore. It is neither here nor there. But this indifference may include groups of people who may be different from us, those who worship different than we. We may have grown indifferent to their welfare, their place in our country or neighborhood. As I have said before, Lent is our Spring. It is time to awaken that which has fallen "asleep" over the last year or years. What is it that we have put into our "indifference basket" and see if it is something we need to take a good look at during this time of year? May we be guided by the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to be able to review and evaluate these aspects of our lives that may need to be reviewed and brought to a new life in Christ.
