Ad text
After any knee surgery, your quad strength takes a MASSIVE hit. The trauma of surgery, pain, and swelling lead to a neurological process that reflexively shuts down your quad muscle, making it functionally weaker! Then, add on top of that the relative immobility that you experience in the early weeks after surgery and the decrease in your overall activity level… you are bound to get weaker. To make matters worse, if you never had the proper guidance in rehab that focused on regaining that quad strength by isolating that muscle group early and often (no, not with things like squats and leg press), your body learned to compensate and learned to function using other muscles like your hamstrings and glutes instead of your quad muscle. At this point, you can trick yourself into thinking you are strong because you can squat and do heavy leg presses, but your quad muscle isn’t even contributing one bit. So now you are months out of surgery, still have no quad strength, and you are all of a sudden incorrectly told to jump, or run, or told you are “done with PT” Now you are in trouble. This happens too often when rehab is done improperly. It happens when you don’t have proper guidance. It happens when rehab progressions are based on a “protocol” or “time from surgery” instead of a functional and objective criteria. I built this platform in 2021 because I knew that most people don’t FAIL REHAB. Most people are FAILED BY REHAB. Message me the word “STRONGER” and I will tell you how my platform will help you get back in the game, like you EXPECTED when you initially signed up for the surgery
