I lived most of my life with a voice in my head that told me: 😥 I’m not good enough...I’ll never be happy...I have to work so hard for everything...I just can’t get ahead 😞 There’s always so much to do - I can’t get it all done...I feel like a failure...I can’t stop...How did I screw this up again?! 😫 I'm not important enough...Nobody appreciates me...If THEY change I’ll be happy...Why can’t I be like HER? 😡 I don’t belong...There’s something wrong with me...Why am I so irritated?!...I’m frustrated all the time...Why can’t I control my stress and agitation! I was DESPERATE to heal my unhealthy relationship patterns, self-sabotaging behaviors and negative thinking 🙏 Yet I couldn't find the answer 😞 Until I FINALLY realized that I WAS BELIEVING LIES! 🤯 What I had thought was TRUTH my entire life, was actually a LIE. As a child, I simply believed what I was told… I believed what my parents, teachers and coaches told me... I TRIED my very best to please everyone - to TRY and be the ‘good girl’ I was supposed to be. All to prove that I was Enough! But I would beat myself up when I got it ‘wrong,' feeling ashamed and wondering what was wrong with me 🥺 The reason nothing worked was simple 👉 Everything I was taught about WHO I was and HOW to get what I wanted was WRONG. ➡️ To stop the patterns running in me, I HAD to stop addressing the outward symptoms and do the deep work to HEAL the root cause. ➡️ The Truth Is this: Our External World Is Just A Reflection Of Our Internal World Here's what I mean: We have ALL gone through ‘trauma.’ Whether it was being bullied at school, experiencing abuse or losing a pet, we have ALL experienced pain, loss and sadness. And when we experience trauma, we hold onto emotions around the event. If we do not process our emotions properly when we are young, we begin to experience a fragmentation, and then, a deep inner conflict. To survive, we create a false self - our ‘ego’ identity, which keeps us caught in a cycle of confusion, frustration and inner turmoil. This causes us to doubt ourselves, others, and the world. We know (logically) what to do, but we just can't seem to do it (emotionally)...😔 From that day forward we subconsciously look for evidence to support what we believe about ourselves and the world. So it’s very difficult to see life through a different, more positive lens. And the cycle continues. To BREAK this cycle, we must take a look at our subconscious beliefs…and CHALLENGE them 💪 Because if we continue to believe the LIES, we will never be able to experience the FULLNESS & FREEDOM that Jesus died for us to have 🙏 We will always have the Holy Spirit in us, but a part of us will stay closed off to Him 🚫 Until we identify, uncover, and heal that original trauma, we feel like a prisoner in our own minds 🙇‍♀️ And we continue to get caught up in a cycle of working, trying and striving our way to success. Which never works because as soon as we reach ‘success’ in one thing, we are looking for the next (amirite?!). What DOES work is healing the pain underneath it all and coming back to agreement and wholeness with Christ ❤️🙌 And if we are NOT opening the door for Him to come in and heal those parts of us that we’ve been spending years trying to hide… He will just stand at the door and knock (until we decide to open it).
