@theroasterspack Matcha Flight Tasting 🍵✨ I always enjoy trying new matcha, especially when I can taste them blind before reading the tasting notes. Here are my thoughts: 🍃 Matcha 1 – Platinum Matcha by Matcha Matcha: More of a muted jade green than a vibrant green. It had slight nutty notes with some umami, which I enjoyed. There was still some bitterness and astringency, ending with a subtle sweetness that lingered on my tongue. 🍃 Matcha 2 – Ceremonial Matcha by Emeri: Also a muted jade green. This one was the most bitter and astringent for my palate, and honestly, it just wasn’t one I enjoyed. 🍃 Matcha 3 – Ceremonial Grade Matcha by TeaSquared: Muted jade green as well. It leaned more earthy and vegetal with noticeable bitterness, astringency, and a gritty texture. Unfortunately, out of the three, I don’t have a favorite. But if I had to choose, it would be Matcha 1. As someone who drinks matcha almost every day, I know exactly what I enjoy. When I’m looking for a matcha, I want a strong umami that punches me in the throat 🤣 with rich nutty and chocolatey notes, a smooth, creamy texture, and little to no bitterness or astringency. That said, I think this is a great concept for someone who’s just getting into matcha and wants to explore different flavor profiles before committing to a full tin. Personally, I probably wouldn’t purchase it because I already know what I like and what I look for in a matcha. As always, taste is subjective, and these are just my personal thoughts. 💚🍃 Thank you, @theroasterspack, for sending this to me!
