Wild Iris is hiring a Support Group Advocate! We're looking for an individual with a passion for working with groups and providing peer support services and education about the impact of domestic violence and sexual assault to survivors. HIGHLY PREFERRED: Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. Pay Range: $22.50-$28.74 Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt Reporting Office: Bishop Benefits: Employee retirement with employer contributions, medical insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick accruals. Benefits available after successful completion of a 30 to 90-day waiting period. May be eligible for remote work following 180-day introductory period. Job Description: This position is primarily responsible for organizing and facilitating peer support groups in community settings in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, at the Mono and Inyo County jails, in school settings, and at our Transitional Housing campus. Qualifications: Required: • High School diploma or equivalency. • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. • Willingness to work evenings and weekends. • Ability to use a computer and proficiency with Office 365 and learn industry specific software. • Willing to undergo to a live scan background check. • At least one year of experience with a similar agency and/or an agency providing community-based peer groups and classes.
