Hope for the future starts with research. 🔬 Since 1963, we have invested more than $69 million into cancer research in WA. Thanks to the generosity of the WA community, we’ve funded 1344 research projects, supported brilliant local scientists, and laid the foundation for discoveries that change lives. In 2024-25 alone, you helped us contribute $3.5 million to local cancer research, supporting 117 researchers across 37 projects. One of these researchers is Dr Nicola Principe, who is investigating how cholesterol-lowering drugs could make immunotherapy more effective for people with hard-to-treat cancers like mesothelioma. As Dr Principe says: “Your support allows me to launch my research career and lay the groundwork for discoveries that could transform cancer treatment. I am so grateful to be a part of the Cancer Council WA community.” This is the power of community. This is the power of research. And together, we’re moving closer to a cancer free future. 💛
