Leah Patipa, DVM: "We struggled to get this horse's feet to grow any sole despite trying several different avenues. After less than six months on Crackdown the horse's sole depth doubled and hoof quality was substantially improved. This was significantly more growth than the horse experienced during the prior year. Crackdown is a staple product that I recommend to clients for overall hoof health as well as in specific cases where a horse has difficulty growing sole and hoof wall." - Leah Patipa, DVM Paddock Equine Veterinary Services More about Crackdown: What are the ingredients in Crackdown? Crackdown contains a proprietary blend of quinoa, pumpkin seed, sesame seed, almonds, chickpeas, lentils, oats, kale, spinach, and brazil nuts. Is Crackdown show safe? Yes! All of our products are show safe. How quickly will I see a difference? Usually within the first shoeing cycle. Hoof growth is notoriously slow, but Crackdown will start increasing the rate and quality of growth within the first 3-4 weeks. Would Crackdown replace my horse's biotin supplement? Yes! The research shows that biotin is actually not that important for hoof health, but rather, sulfur and essential amino acids like arginine and methionine. Horses make biotin in their hind gut and almost always have enough for daily requirements. This is why Crackdown was formulated to be high in sulfur containing compounds to strengthen the protein bonds in the feet and increase circulation and growth. While Crackdown does contain some biotin, it is a much more comprehensive supplement because of the methionine and arginine which are the key nutrients for increasing the rate and quality of hoof growth as well as strength. Can I use this in conjunction with the other Equine Elixirs products I use, or is it duplicative? All of our products are designed to be used together. There are no redundancy or toxicity issues when using any or all of our products.
