The exhibition incorporates traditional arts with modern technology, presenting an immersive VR experience of “Eight Views of Peking”, a digital display of the long handscroll “Emperor Qianlong’s Southern Tour”, and a digital display of “Landscapes, in the style of ancient masters”. The exhibition is divided into two sections, namely “Exploring Magnificent Landscapes” and “Expressing Sentiments Through Nature”. It offers an overview of classical Chinese landscape art, demonstrating how artists translated their journeys through nature into visual formswhile expressing personal sentiments through an array of brushwork styles. A limited-edition commemorative ticket has been specially designed for this exhibition. The cover features exquisite lenticular printing with scenes from “Emperor Qianlong’s Southern Tour” and “Eight Views of Peking”. Each ticket is embedded with Near-Field Communication (NFC) function: simply tap with a smartphone to launch the mini-programme and access audio guides in Cantonese or Mandarin. From now until July 26, visitors presenting a physical or electronic ticket of the 36th Macao Arts Festival may redeem one commemorative ticket per person per day at the reception desk of the Macao Museum of Art.
