THREE SIGNS YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN 👇 If today was your last day, do you know, without a doubt, that you would hear "well done"? Most men in church assume they would. Sit with that for a second, because Jesus said something that should stop every churchgoing man cold. He said that on the last day, many will stand in front of Him certain they are saved. And He will look at them and say the most sobering words in all of Scripture. Not "I never heard of you." "I never knew you." (Matthew 7) Knew. The whole weight of it rests on that one word. Because Jesus also said this is eternal life, that we would know Him. (John 17:3) Not know about Him. Know Him. So before that day comes, here are three signs to look honestly at your own walk. It is the third one that stopped me cold. SIGN NUMBER ONE: You want Him on ordinary days, not just Sundays. Not because it is expected. Not because someone is watching. There is a pull toward God on a regular Tuesday, when no one would ever know if you skipped it. Most men only meet with God when the building tells them to. One hour, one day a week. A man who is actually walking with God feels the pull the other six days. SIGN NUMBER TWO: When you fall short, it draws you back to Him instead of driving you away. This is the one most men get backwards. They think the mark of a real Christian is a man who never stumbles. It is not. The mark is where the stumble sends you. The guilt that pushes you into hiding is not from Him. The grace that pulls you back is. A man on the path does not run from God when he fails. He runs to Him. SIGN NUMBER THREE: You actually know Him. Not just know about Him. This is where most churchgoing men fail. And they fail it quietly. They have been in church their whole lives. They own Bibles. They show up on Sundays. But if you pulled one aside and asked him when he last just sat with God, alone, on an ordinary morning, outside of a service, he would go quiet. He knows everything about God. He has never once known God. And according to everything Jesus said, on the last day, those are two completely different things. I know this one because it was me. I grew up in church. I was baptized. Youth group. Prayed before meals. For over forty years I was certain I was fine. But if someone had asked me when I last truly walked with God, just me and Him, on a normal day, I would have had no answer. I knew about Him. I had never known Him. Three years ago I finally said it out loud, to my pastor, after a Sunday service. That I had been in church my entire life and had no real walk with God at all. That it was starting to keep me up at night. He did not flinch. He said something I have never forgotten. "You do not come to know God in a sermon once a week. You come to know Him by walking with Him every single day, especially on the days He feels silent. That is the difference between the men He knows and the men He only hears about." I nodded like I understood. The truth is I had no idea where to start. Because I had tried before. More times than I want to admit. Devotionals. Reading plans. Every Bible app on my phone. And it always ended the same way. I would start strong. Miss one morning. Try to catch up on everything I missed. Watch it pile up. And quit. And every time I quit, I felt further from God than when I started. Like I had failed Him again. The guilt never pulled me closer. It pushed me away. One night I sat at my kitchen table and thought about what my pastor said. I needed something simple enough that I would actually do it. Every day. No matter how tired or busy or behind I was. Something built for a man exactly like me. I started reading reviews, looking at what had actually worked for other men. That is when I found it. The One Minute with God for Men devotional. I almost scrolled right past it. Sixty seconds a day sounded too simple. How was one minute supposed to build the walk I had been missing for forty years? But everything else had failed me, and one minute was the only promise I actually trusted myself to keep. So I ordered it. The next morning I sat down with it before the house woke up, coffee still hot, and opened to the first day. A theme across the top, a real thing men carry, and it was the exact thing I had been wrestling with that week. Under it, one honest question: why does this matter for me? Then a few plain sentences on it. Then God's Response, Scripture right there on the page, so I was not hunting for it. And finally God's Challenge, one last verse to carry into the day I closed the book. Sixty seconds had passed. That was the whole thing. The next morning I did it again. Same minute. Different theme. Different Scripture. Different challenge. I kept it on my desk where I could see it, because seeing it is what made me do it. Nothing to open. Nothing to catch up on. Miss a day, and you just pick it up the next morning. By the end of the first week, I could say something I had not been able to say in forty years. I had walked with God that week. Not heard about Him on a Sunday. Walked with Him. Every morning. One minute at a time. By the end of the first month, my wife noticed before I said a word. She looked at me one morning and said something is different about you lately. I knew exactly what it was. And that is when the third sign stopped scaring me. Because I finally understood it. Jesus was never warning the men who stumble and struggle and fall short. He was warning the men who have His name and His church and His traditions but never once walked with Him. Men with attendance instead of a relationship. Those are the men who hear "I never knew you." You cannot know someone you never spend time with. You would never call a man your closest friend if you only heard about him from other people once a week. You would never say you truly know your wife if you only spoke to her for an hour on Sundays. That is exactly what I had been doing with God. A little book is what finally changed it. Simple enough that I keep showing up. And it quietly changes how I walk through the rest of the day. So let me ask you what I could not answer for forty years. Do you know God? Not know about Him. Know Him. If you have been in church your whole life and still could not answer that, I understand. That was me. You do not have to stay there. Sixty seconds a day. One minute at a time. It is enough to finally know Him. Last I checked they were running low on stock, so if you have been meaning to start, do not sit on it like I almost did.
