Special thanks to Scott Takahashi, Kyomi Takahashi, and John for coming from Virginia to teach us this past weekend. We were so impressed with their kindness and depth of knowledge. Kyomi's special calligraphy demonstration was amazing. Thank you very much to all who came and participated, including those from as far away as Virginia and Wisconsin. Thanks to Mr. Keen for recording the event. It will be carefully edited and up on Teachable at some point in the near future. If you are already signed up with us, you will be able to reference all of the lessons and katas in the future. https://the-dojo5.teachable.com/ _______________________________________________________________________ Please study and practice the June, Week 4 techniques over on Teachable and in your dojo curriculum books 6/22 - Monday youth and adult classes and black belts at 7 6/23 - Tuesday Youth class @ 5:00 PM Tuesday Adult All Level Class @ 6 - (open to all levels) 7:00 PM Tuesday Weapons Class - Hanbojutsu - 3' stick classical and self-defense techniques 6/24- Wednesday classes and then Advanced Budo Class at 7:00 PM - Koto Ryu Advanced Okuden Scroll Techniques (open to all levels) 6/25- Thursday youth and adult classes and Black Belts at 7:00 PM 6/27 - Saturday classes and BBC at noon _______________________________________________________________________ Newest Teachable Review: " I am really enjoying the lessons on Teachable. The sheer amount of content available is an amazing value at a very affordable price. Everything from Kyu ranking to Black-belt level concepts is clearly explained and demonstrated. There is honestly a ton of material here: Unarmed techniques, weapons, classical kata, philosophy, and much more. So much so that I have only scratched the surface of what is available. I’d highly recommend The Dojo on Teachable to anyone who trains martial arts. It’s a great refresher for material you may have already learned, but I think you’ll also discover new ideas and concepts you can apply to your training, no matter what style you practice." - Sandee L.
