After a full year of using Miacademy, I can tell you exactly why we decided to keep it! 👀 I know how many options are out there and how big a decision it can be to find the best curriculum for your child. It can be extremely overwhelming. I know that firsthand as I went down that rabbit hole, but let me tell you why Miacademy has been such a great fit for us. My youngest has access to everything you would need from a standard curriculum with subjects like math, science, English, history, etc. Plus, it has an extensive list of electives and additional courses that let her explore different interests along the way. You can choose from things like: 📚Music and Arts: With lessons about exploring instruments, songwriting, music reading, drawing essentials, art around the world - to name a few. 📚World Languages: They offer a variety of language courses such as American Sign Language, Spanish, French, Classical languages, and others. 📚Life Skills: One of our favorites is Life Skills, where you can find stuff about basic life skills, intro to typing, intro to programming, career exploration, and Syd's personal favorite, Survivor's Quest/ I also love that the lessons aren't just the same old 'read this, answer these questions, and move on' situation. Miacademy is always creating new content and updating lessons to keep kids engaged and make learning feel fresh. And as a mom who oversees all of this, I can see what she's working on and follow along with her progress. So, if she is struggling in a subject, I can easily reassign tasks or spend some extra 1-on-1 time going over what she learned. It also gives us the flexibility to learn anywhere. Some days learning can be at her computer; other days it can be heading to the library, finding a book that sparks a completely unexpected rabbit hole, or turning something we’re learning into a real-world experience. 📚 After a full year with Miacademy, we knew it was something we were going to continue with long-term, and when you find something that works with your family, you hang onto it. Curious if Miacademy could be a good fit for your homeschool? Head over and check it out for yourself! 📚
