Mining camp nutrition ⬇️ It’s actually a lot simpler than you think. Eat protein and plants at every meal. Build your plate around that, and then fill in the gaps with more of the fun stuff. If you’re at camp, this might look like: 🥩 Eggs, meat, chicken, fish, steak, mince, protein shakes, yoghurt 🥗 Salad, veg, fruit, stir fry veg, whatever green stuff you can get into you 🍚 Rice, potatoes, wraps, oats, cereal, bread, pasta 🍫 SOME fun stuff like potato bake, dessert, beers or whatever else helps you not feel like a robot The goal isn’t to eat perfectly. The goal is to stop eating like an unsupervised 14-year-old at Sizzler (fuck I miss that place). Same goes for hydration. If you’re working 12-hour days, sweating your ring out, smashing coffees, and training after shift: A couple bottles of water probably isn’t cutting it. Aim for: ✅ Water consistently through the day ✅ Electrolytes if you’re sweating heaps ✅ Salt your food at night ✅ Don’t rely on energy drinks and caffeine to drag your ass through shift ✅ Get some carbs in if you’re training or have a big day on the tools Most blokes don’t need a fancy meal plan. They need a simple structure they can repeat even when they’re tired, busy and surrounded by buffet food. Protein + plants first. Carbs based on goals/output. Fun stuff in moderation. Hydrate like you actually want to function. Do that consistently and you’ll be shocked how much better you feel on site, in the gym, and when you get home. DM me STOIC if you want help building a plan that works around camp food, long shifts and real life. Committed to you, Coach Nicholas STOIC Strength
