There comes a time in many families when life changes…. Children begin helping clean out a home that's been lived in for decades. Cabinets full of dishes. Closets full of treasures. Collections gathered over a lifetime. It can feel overwhelming. What do you keep? What do you donate? What if you accidentally give away something important? We understand that fear. A while back, someone donated a jewelry box to Caring Heart. While processing the donation, we discovered a hidden compartment on the side containing valuable gold and diamond jewelry and we knew that could not have been an intentional donation. We immediately contacted the family and returned every piece. They had no idea it was there. Because to us... Doing the right thing has always been more important than making a sale. And respecting our donors is our top priority. If you're helping a loved one downsize or sorting through an estate, we'd be honored to help give those treasured belongings a second life. Many of the things that no longer fit in one home become someone else's favorite find. Vintage dishes. Cast iron. Kitchenware. Home décor. Furniture. And so much more. Every donation also helps provide food, hygiene items, and hope for local teens and seniors over 65 through Caring Heart Outreach. Sometimes letting go isn't about getting rid of things. Sometimes it's about knowing they'll continue making a difference. ❤️ We're honored every time a family trusts us with a lifetime of memories. We see families every single week having to go through the homes of their loved ones to clean out decades of treasures. When you donate the things you do not want to keep, make sure you take it to a place that will make sure your items are treated with respect <3 If you're unsure about an item, please don't hesitate to ask. We'd much rather help you identify something meaningful than see a family lose a treasured heirloom by accident. <3
