Now Hiring: Head Estimator at Amped Electric 📍 Location Charleston, SC (on-site, with regional travel) 💰 Compensation $100,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus plan ✅ Benefits • Medical benefits • 401(k) • Paid time off • Paid holidays • Full benefits package 🧠 What You Bring • 10+ years of electrical estimating or related electrical construction experience • Electrical field experience strongly preferred • Proficiency with electrical estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction technology • Strong knowledge of systems, installation methods, sequencing, labor productivity, and material requirements • Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple estimates, priorities, and deadlines • Clear written and verbal communication, disciplined follow-up, and willingness to travel regionally 💼 The Role This is more than a bid desk position. It's a clear path to build and lead Amped Electric's future estimating department. You'll lead conceptual through final-bid estimates for electrical construction projects, stay connected to execution by reviewing production and cost forecasts, and build a scalable estimating function from the ground up. Key responsibilities include: • Leading takeoffs, man-hour plans, material budgets, scopes, schedules of values, and proposals • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify risk, exclusions, and scope gaps • Providing value-engineering and constructability options that protect margin • Supporting disciplined turnover from estimating to operations • Participating in production meetings and visiting active jobsites • Pricing and supporting change-order proposals • Building relationships with owners, GCs, architects, engineers, and suppliers 🚀 Growth Opportunity This role is designed for a proven estimator who wants to become a builder of people, process, and preconstruction capability.
