*Disability Support Workers needed URGENTLY* National Disability and Mental Health Services (NDMHS) is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers with good communication skills. The company provides a wide range of services to individuals with a disability and their families. We provide services across Sydney and have many positions available. Opportunities are available in South Coogee, Engadine, Sutherland Shire, Blacktown, Granville, Northmead, Ashfield, Maroubra, Randwick, Allawah, Northern Shire and Sydney City. Applicants must be authorized to work in Australia, must have a Valid Driving License (Australian or International) and reliable car. The Role: You will have the ability to assist people with: • Personal care • Community engagement • Domestic assistance • Learning support • Behaviour Management & Intervention Core objectives include: · Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities · Understand and provide appropriate care to patients with low needs to patients with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours. · Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment · Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly defined guidelines. · Providing personal care to people with disabilities The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company. Requirements: • Current CPR & First Aid (OR willing to obtain before joining) • Working With Children Check (OR willing to obtain before joining) • NDIS Worker Check (OR willing to obtain before joining) • Insured car & valid driving license. • Manual Handling certificate (OR willing to obtain after joining) • You must be triple vaccinated against COVID. Applicants may have a valid medical exemption in place of these vaccination requirements. Weekly hours: 20-40 Pay rate: $32-$34 per hour. Job Type: Casual Schedule: • Day shift • Morning shift • Shift work COVID-19 considerations: A COVID-19 safety management plan will be provided to the worker.
