Black doesn’t ask for attention. It commands it. The KYDEX® Sheet – Black is the material makers trust when fit, retention, and durability matter. Heat it to approximately 300°F–375°F, form it cleanly, let it cool—and it holds sharp detail without shrinking, warping, or fading. Finished in the proven P1 Hair Cell texture, you get a non-reflective, scratch-resistant surface with a smooth backing for clean interior contact. It’s the go-to texture for holsters, knife sheaths, and hard-use carry gear because it delivers grip, durability, and a refined look. Built for: • Knife sheaths • Holsters • Protective guards • Custom carry builds • Utility projects that demand strength And it doesn’t stop there. KYDEX® is also used for: • RC car body panels, skid plates, and impact guards • Kayak keel guards and abrasion strips • Cosplay armor components, costume panels, and structured prop builds At .080 gauge, it strikes the balance between rigidity and workability. Lightweight. Waterproof. Easy to maintain. Tough enough for daily carry, outdoor abuse, or convention floors. Proudly made in the USA, individually packaged, quality inspected, and available with free cut-downs to reduce waste and shipping costs. When the build needs to hold its shape and take impact, KYDEX® answers.
