What does it take to bring a 1978 Anchorage home to market? It requires reimagining real estate to emphasize collaboration over competition. In the last 48 hours, I scheduled and coordinated 34 showings for my listing at 2741 Kingfisher Drive. (Please see my earlier posts.) Before the sign ever landed in the snowbank, I spent 60+ hours preparing this property by 1. staging, styling, editing, and polishing every room 2. creating a Virtual Homebook (photos, floor plans, disclosures, inspections, receipts, as-built, virtual tour, story, home warranty, utilities, and neighborhood info) 3. sharing Lisa Conner Living coffee and handmade soaps with all visitors, as small tokens of appreciation 4. sending detailed showing notes to help agents and buyers slow down, relax, and really experience the home 5. standing by with my laptop and phone, ready to schedule showings and answer questions in real time 6. driving my favorite "assistant" crazy with requests to plow, shovel, check the heat, adjust the blinds, replace burned-out bulbs, fix doors, change locks, close toilet lids, and so much more 7. coordinating inspections, cleaners, photographers, contractors 8. watching other listings, researching “comps” active and sold, and navigating the holiday market 9. completing, reviewing, and signing legal documents One REALTOR messaged me today and recognized my efforts: “Lisa is a master at her listing presentation. It was very professional. The home showed exceptionally well. Buyers loved everything about the house itself—layout, updates, storage, location… This one feels like a multiple-offer place to me. Good luck to you and your sellers, Lisa!” I’m sharing this not to brag, but to say thank you and to talk about what Real Estate Reimagined means to me. Yes, we all want our buyers’ offers and our sellers’ listings to be competitive. I believe the best results come when we’re also collaborative, by 1. agents bringing clients through with open minds to the possibilities of a well-loved 1978 home 2. honest feedback shared with respect 3. text messages of encouragement between colleagues instead of “us vs. them" 4. everyone remembering there are real humans in the middle of this—moving through a major life transition REALTORS and their clients are not enemies at war. We’re partners helping people move from one chapter of life to the next. That’s the heart and soul behind The Homeseeker Program by Lisa Conner. It's a coaching-infused home-buying experience for people in transition, built around the idea that “the ultimate home search begins inside.” Instead of rushing buyers into whatever pops up on the market, Homeseeker helps them: 1. set intentions and clarify what “home” really means in this next chapter 2. check in with their nervous system and values before, during, and after showings 3. use simple tools—like an Impressions Log and Decision Compass—to decide whether a home actually fits their life, not just their checklist I absolutely love being a listing artist and the creative process of bringing properties to the market. I also love working with buyers who want that same level of thoughtfulness as they search. If you’re: 1. a BUYER who sees a move as a turning point, not just a transaction, or 2. a SELLER who wants their home presented with this level of care, or 3. a fellow REALTOR who believes collaboration serves our clients best …I invite you to reach out to schedule a no-obligation Discovery Call to see if we’re a good match. Real Estate Reimagined… For me, that means more humanity, more cooperation, and homes that truly support the next chapter of someone’s life.
