She lives in Melbourne and needs urgent hernia surgery, but the year long waiting list for the public system means constant pain and risk to her full time job in an essential service role that requires her to be active. At 35, she feels she is missing the peak of her youth, having to put her life on hold while fearing her condition will worsen. The cost of private surgery is between $8,000 and $12,000, an impossible amount for her family. Amina is not seeking a luxury, she is seeking an intervention to protect her health and livelihood, a basic right denied by waiting lists and financial constraints. This is a local sister, a neighbour, someone who looks just like you, struggling with a medical crisis right here in Australia. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗭𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁. 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗭𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆: nzf.org.au/pay
