Scammers are calling people, saying things like: -There’s a warrant for your arrest -Your identity was used to buy child sexual abuse material or launder money -Your identity was stolen, and the FBI needs your help These criminals often demand money via wire transfer or crypto kiosks. Some even use the real names of FBI agents or sheriffs to appear legitimate when you search online. Remember: -Government agencies will never ask for money or cryptocurrency. -If you receive a similar call, hang up immediately and call the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline at 877-908-3360.
