200-yr old settler-made reclalimed barn beams, custom box beams, console and coffee tables, mantels (mantles), posts, antique barn frames, pavilions, reclaimed historical flooring and wall boards ... we've got you covered. We're Pioneer Wood Company of La Vernia, Texas - 30 miles east of San Antonio. We have worked with builders, designers and home owners all over Texas for years, supplying beams, advising on plans, constructing box beams for ridges, rafters, headers or mantels. But we are not limited to Texas. Our beams were hand-hewn by the early settlers of the 1700s and 1800's. The Amish disassemble those early barns (as well as harvest the barn flooring, and flooring and fencing from historical structures) and send them to us. We receive monthly 18-wheelers to keep up with the demand. We have all lengths - up to 30-50 feet, and can cut as short as you need for smaller projects like fern-stands and end-tables. Our prices are comparative to new Doug FIr and Cedar ... but ours are historical, have enormously cool texture, are each one-of-a-kind, and overall art. We hear over and over again from our clients that their favorite part of their new homes are the old beams. We're a family-owned and operated business.
