I never intended for all this to happen. Starting my own non-toxic skincare line was at first a purely personal endeavor to soothe my own troubled skin. My skin struggled with eczema and psoriasis after the birth of my second child. Commercial products were full of ingredients that are hard to pronounce and made my condition worse, clean branded brands were often not actually as clean as advertised, and the fully natural products I tried often didn’t help the way I knew they could. So I took matters into my own hands! I started making my own skincare products like soaps and creams. When I added to these creations organic, grass-fed tallow, my skin finally began to make improvement. Pretty farm girl was started from the smallest corner of my kitchen as I shared this tallow based line with others. Our products are created using cold-pressed, unrefined oils. We believe what you put on your skin should be nourishing like food. What you put on your skin is just important as what you put in it! Therefore, the oils found in our recipes serve a purpose, to nourish and protect your skin. Everything I make does not have any artificial colors, fragrances, or added chemicals to them.
