“NO EVIDENCE OF CANCER” – STAGE 4 COLON CANCER & GASTROINTESTINAL STROMAL TUMOR (GIST) STAGE 4 COLON CANCER THAT SPREAD TO MY LIVER- GASTROINTESTINAL STROMAL TUMOR (GIST) When I first saw Dr. Kevin Huang, my prognosis was dim. I was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to my liver and a rare gastrointestinal stromal tumor. I had undergone surgery for the colon cancer and was put on a type of chemo that made me sick. I lost a lot of weight and was extremely anxious and depressed. I had never been treated with acupuncture before and was hesitant to add yet another treatment to my protocol, but I was desperate to find help. Dr. Huang immediately reassured me that “Aculove” was painless and effective. My surgeon told me that I probably had a year if I did not do anything. I wanted to try a more holistic approach instead of just relying on traditional medicine and chemo. Dr. Huang’s methodology helped me to remain calm, sleep better, and gain weight while also lowering my CEA (cancer markers). As a result, I was able to survive two more major surgeries and two additional chemotherapies. Even when I was recuperating from surgery, Dr. Huang kept in touch with me. Now that my scans reflect the good news that there is no evidence of cancer, I have returned to Dr. Huang’s care so that I can remain cancer free. Additionally, Dr. Huang helped to reduce the inflammation that caused my liver markers to remain high following surgery. I trust Dr. Huang and know that he has my best interests at heart. In addition to being a critical part of my cancer recovery team, Dr. Huang decreased the extreme pain caused by my TMJ so that I was able to chew and enjoy food once again.
