Available December 1st! Two laid back dudes from Canada (me: RC) and Louisiana (Michael Rigmaiden) are seeking a third awesome addition to our household. We are open to any gender and orientation, but we like to balance things out so we do have a slight preference for a female roommate. Our last roommate who is leaving us is female and both Michael and I have mostly lived in mixed gender households whether the roommates were familiars or new friends. The room: The available bedroom will have near-exclusive access to its "own" bathroom (it's located outside the bedroom, not inside, but it is pretty nice and spacious with a standing shower). This bedroom is located in the back of the house, by the kitchen and dining area. It is the smaller bedroom, but it has by far the most closet space, with full-length mirrors on its sliding doors. The bedrooms that Michael and I have are slightly larger, but we share a bathroom between us and, frankly, it's not as pretty as the one for the third room. Other amenities: The bedroom is partially furnished, we have all been gradually replacing some of the original furnishing that came with the place with newer things of our choosing, but the essentials are available, including a desk, seating, plenty of shelf-space, your own LCD TV and access to the streaming services of your choosing, plus your own heater and fan. If you are staying long term and want to furnish the place differently, we can definitely have that conversation. The landlord has accommodated our requests and is pretty laid back about everything. Basically the house used to be a furnished short term rental, but for the past year Michael and I have been doing 12 month leases--so we have a strong preference for someone who will want to do the same. Lease renews December. Brand new (and very large) washer and dryer located in the unit by the kitchen. The dishwasher is also pretty good. About us: Like many people we have moved here for the entertainment scene and are media junkies. I currently work in the legal field but I also take film production classes at Los Angeles City College nearby. Michael's passions are not limited to screenwriting and acting; he's also a champion kickball player and a leader + organizer of the Hollywood division (three consecutive titles to his name, not to mention the many non-consecutive ones), an avid and excellent cook (I'm not too shabby either), and he's spent most of the last year getting his own hot sauce label off the ground! PS re the appearance of the space: these pictures are a BIT outdated. We have WAAYYYYYY more plants, and the back patio area is now a full on entertainment center with a couch and projecter. Yes--the place has improved. I will try to take updated photos but it's been so rainy and overcast lately I just wanted to make sure you guys got the sunny-day photos :) The place's furniture can definitely be changed. We have slowwwwwly been adding our own stuff and cycling old stuff out.
