How we count

Ad text

LA deserves a City Attorney who fights for workers, renters, immigrants, and all Angelenos—not just the powerful. That's why I'm running to serve you as the People's Attorney, and build a better Los Angeles for all of us. As a lifelong Angeleno, I've spent my entire career fighting for the people. I've helped put tens of thousands of dollars in stolen wages back in workers’ pockets. I've taken on Trump as part of more than a dozen legal actions to protect sanctuary cities, defend students and DACA recipients, and fight for asylum-seekers. I've held landlords accountable for violating tenants' rights, and I've sued billion-dollar tech companies that threaten our public health and safety. The City Attorney's office has the power to fight back against injustice across our city, from unfair business practice to illegal ICE raids. Together, we can transform this office into the city's most powerful protector of the people. But our current City Attorney is millions of dollars over-budget, plagued by scandal, and failing to fight for Angelenos who need it most. I'm running a grassroots campaign powered by the people of LA—not by corporations, billionaires, or special interests—because that's who I'll represent as your City Attorney. Let's fight for the Los Angeles we all deserve. Learn more and join our campaign at marissaroy.com.
