She has experience in mental health advocacy, psychosocial support, and community-based programs. She has initiated and led a grief support group for Al Nas Hospital, designed an anti-stigma online campaign with GSMHAT, and developed a photovoice project with Safarni to address prejudice against refugee children in Egypt. At Baseera, she contributed to visual‑impairment initiatives by developing models and key performance indicators, and she prepared a case study on child sexual abuse with Safe Egypt. Lina’s research focuses on suicide prevention and caregiver burden. At AUC, she revised the university’s Suicide Prevention Protocol, led suicide prevention awareness campaigns, and created educational materials for students, parents, and faculty. As a teaching assistant, she supported psychology courses and built partnerships with NGOs. Lina has presented her work at international platforms, including the SCRA Biennial Conference in the United States and ICCP in Italy, and has published articles in The Community Psychologist (TCP), SCRA’s international magazine.
