JobNimbus went from 2.5 stars to 4.8 stars in 18 months. Here’s how they did it. JobNimbus faced a major challenge: → They had a high churn rate → A disappointing 2.5-star app rating The app was poorly designed and not user-centric. But they also didn’t truly understand their core users: Many of their users are contractors uncomfortable with technology. They’re still using pen and paper! The team needed to find ways to encourage these users to embrace digital tools. That meant rebuilding their app in a more intuitive and accessible way. Here’s how JobNimbus did it with the help of UXCam 👇 — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: Under the direction of Todd Furness (Group Product Manager), the team rebuilt the app. The project took about 18 months. They went from a 2.5-star app rating to 4.8 stars. And from a top 3 churn reason to a top 3 retention reason! UXCam was a critical tool for understanding their customer pain points and challenges. — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 The product team relied on insightful metrics from UXCam to make decisions. Here’s how they do it 👇 → User feature adoption rates → Monthly active users → Device model distribution All easily customizable on UXCam’s dashboard. The data is then added to JobNimbus's existing scorecard system. It’s run through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), which helps teams align on the company's vision and performance goals. → Tracking which operating systems to support JobNimbus analyzes device data to see how many users are still on iOS 15 because they’re using old devices. The team can then decide when to stop supporting these versions. This reduces development and maintenance costs (allowing them to focus on new features and performance). → Tracking the most active user cities The team leverages this data to gauge demand for a user conference. — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 One of the major qualitative data points the team used was the adoption rate of their new Kanban Board feature. It’s a feature to help contractors manage job production. When they started, the team planned to release a very basic version and then enhance it. But after launching, the feature adoption skyrocketed from 0.51% to over 25% within just four weeks! The team quickly changed their mind and optimized their product roadmap based on the UXCam insights. Ultimately saving two months in development time.
