Drenched in moodiness. "In our Georgetown project, this tall, narrow bar sits just off the formal double parlor, so we treated it as a jewel box for entertaining. We saturated the space in deep blue—from the cabinetry and trim to the walls and ceiling. But using a single color doesn’t mean everything should match in texture or tone," designer @lizmearns explains. "We deliberately mixed finishes to add nuance: grasscloth wallpaper offers quiet texture, high-gloss lacquer on the cabinetry and trim introduces a rich sheen, and an eggshell ceiling softens the effect overhead. A matte stone countertop grounds the palette, while brass mesh cabinet fronts and an antiqued mirror backsplash reflect just enough light to keep the space dynamic. The sculptural chandelier draws the eye upward, making the narrow room feel taller and more dramatic." 💡: Cristol Tiered Chandelier by AERIN Architect: @barnesvanze Build: @carrmichaelconstruction 📷: @mollysmithwatson
