For 9 years, he preached vision every single Sunday. He bought leadership books and left them in the workers' meeting room. He begged. He threatened. He wept in private after three workers missed the Christmas outreach without calling. His spiritual father told him: "That's just how people are. Manage them and carry on." But he couldn't accept it. Because every Sunday morning, he was still running from department to department fixing problems that should never have existed. The worst part was not the workload. It was the loneliness. Standing at the pulpit looking at rows of people — and still feeling completely alone in the ministry. He stopped looking forward to Sundays. Started dreading his own workers' meetings. He would sit in his car in the church car park after service, engine off, unable to go home. His wife stopped asking "How was church?" because she already knew the answer from his face. He had carried this weight for so long that he began to wonder if God had made a mistake by calling him to lead people who simply did not care. Then in February 2013, his spiritual father — a 70-year-old apostle from Ede, one of the founding Pentecostal fathers in Osun State — called him to his house, sat him down, and said: "My son. You cannot demand harvest from workers you have never properly built." He placed a worn notebook in his hands. A simple framework he had been using since 1981. Not a motivational programme. Not a revival weekend. A structured, month-by-month building system — designed to take ordinary, passive people and develop them into vision-carrying ministry partners. Month by month. Heart by heart. He started applying it the following month. Nothing dramatic happened at first. But around week six of month two, he looked out his office window before the third service and saw something he had not seen in 9 years: his workers, already in position — early, without him calling anyone, without him standing at the door managing everything. Two department heads were praying together in a corner. The ushers were already straightening chairs. He sat down at his desk and wept. Not because something miraculous had happened.
