She opens her mouth to say something, but I don’t give her the chance. I take the kiss. She stiffens for half a heartbeat, startled. Then melts into it. Her lips are warm, trembling, opening under mine with a sound that’s more plea than protest. I deepen the kiss, coaxing her with the slow drag of my mouth over hers, the scrape of my teeth teasing her lower lip until she gasps into me. "Jesus, Talia," I rasp, breath still catching.
