Ad text
After 6-7 years this project has finally made it to shovel ready. I am excited to announce the largest drainage grant Orange County has ever received. Over 30 million dollar project and over over 400 acres. This retention pond will have a huge impact on the Tiger Creek areas. From FM2802 to Pine Forest and the west side of Vidor, including Wexford Park and several other areas. It will take a couple years to complete the work. This is huge! This is a great example of entities working together. Major thank you to Orange County, Orange County Drainage District and Traylor and Associates (Melinda Smith and team) and the GLO for the tireless, persistence and never giving up working to make this project happen. This project will be capable of holding approx 2 billion gallons of water during a significant rain event.
