At Scotts, our community has always been at the centre of what we do. Each year, instead of producing calendars, we choose to redirect those funds back into the region we’re proud to call home. This year, we pledged $3,000 to be shared among three Nelson charities. But we wanted to do things a little differently. Rather than choosing the charities ourselves, we asked our team to have their say — to vote for the organisations that matter most to them, reflect their personal experiences, or align with the values they care deeply about. Their voices shaped this year’s giving, and we’re incredibly proud of the outcome. We’re excited to announce the first two charities selected through this process: Women’s Refuge and Fossil Creek. Women’s Refuge provides essential safety and support for women and children in our community, offering strength and protection during some of their most difficult moments. Their work touches countless lives, and we’re honoured to contribute to their mission. Fossil Creek, a local wildlife and Mental Health sanctuary, playing a meaningful role in connection, and community wellbeing. Their passion for creating a positive environment for both animals and people resonated strongly with our team. We’re grateful to our staff for taking part and helping shape our giving in such an authentic way. Their choices reflect the heart of our workforce — caring, community-minded, and connected to the people and places around us.
