Ad text

Tucked into a quiet corner of the North Valley, there's a soap shop that's been handcrafting everything on site since 2018. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Which is exactly why so many locals don't know we're here. We're Sunshine Alchemists & Soap Co. and Night Sun Candles. Since 2015 you might have met us at a farmers market, a festival, a pop-up somewhere around the city, selling soap out of a booth before we ever had four walls to call our own. Now we have over 250 unique varieties of organic soap, candles, shampoo bars, bath soaks, and Kumo Kiss, our waterless, non-greasy body butter, formulated to deeply hydrate even in desert-dry air. Every single thing we make, from soap to body butter, is formulated to combat the dryness here in the desert and with sensitive skin in mind. Nothing here is harsh, everything is phthalate, paraben, sulfate, alcohol & dye free. Our colorants are all natural. Even our glitter is bio-glitter from eucalyptus cellulose. Our fragrances aren't pulled from a catalog. We compose them ourselves from scratch, blend by hand, so what you're smelling doesn't exist anywhere else. Scent wizardry. If you're looking for something uniquely New Mexico, our 505 Collection will exceed your expectations. From our Fall Chile Roaster candle to our Jemez Rocks & Laughing Horse soaps, these exceptional goods capture the essence of our home, executed flawlessly. Our soap is hand designed in micro batches of eighteen bars. Candles individually tended, poured and labeled, not mass produced. Everything made slowly, with intention, by hand. Whatever you walk out with, it's a beautiful gift. For yourself or a special someone else. Come find us. The door's open and we'd love to meet you. 📍 7205 4th St NW, between Osuna and Paseo 🕐 Wed–Sat, 11:30–5 🚚 Free local delivery available online Featured on NBC News. See the story on our website.
