Did you know there's a FREE glass recycling drop-off right here in East Cobb? Here's something most of us don't realize: Cobb County does not accept glass in curbside recycling. That means every glass bottle and jar you toss in the blue bin gets pulled out and landfilled anyway. But there's a super easy solution — a free glass recycling container at Merchants Walk, behind the Whole Foods building at 1311 Johnson Ferry Road. Just drive around back, drop off your glass, and go. That's it! What you CAN drop off: Wine bottles, beer bottles, liquor bottles Pasta sauce jars, pickle jars, mason jars Candle jars (leftover wax is okay!) Any glass food & beverage containers — labels can stay on Drinking glasses and cosmetic bottles What to leave out: Ceramics, porcelain, china Mirrors, Pyrex, Corningware Light bulbs, TVs, windshields Good rule of thumb: if you can see through it, it can probably be recycled! Glass is 100% recyclable and can be reused endlessly without losing quality. Every bottle you drop off stays out of the landfill forever. Next time you're heading to Merchants Walk — swing around back and drop off your glass. Takes 30 seconds. #EastCobb #GlassRecycling #MerchantsWalk #CobbCounty #Sustainability #TrashTastic #RecycleGlass
