No worries with your mouth and jaw method. You also were able to break down the instrument into tiny learning bits that would beautifully build on each other. I started with the lessons and was hooked. At one point in the lessons, the student is given a first chance to go solo against you playing guitar. I felt nervous I was being set up for failure, your comment was "have the best time of your life." I heard you say that through my tears of joy at what flowed through my harmonica. My wife tells people it took three days for me really to start sounding good! It's true - the third day the tone started to really get mellow and expressive. Let's get to bending. I hear it's supposed to be hard but it isn't with your method. The timing and placement of Lesson #32 is perfect for it. Literally that first try, I was bending notes a full half-step on holes 1-4. I can't imagine how I could do that so easily with any other mouth position. With freedom to use my tongue and jaw any way at all, bending was made easy - again, thank you. Your lessons worked something just shy of a miracle and fast. I'm already playing along to blues and rock tracks, getting better by the day, and loving it. There's just such great joy in making music, and now I can take it with me wherever I go. Even a traffic jam becomes an opportunity to play.
