LET’S GO GO learn about Singapore’s record history! FOR THE RECORD is an on-going project from @deniseardenise and @reygular , where we bring back a slice of the country’s sounds through the medium of 7-inch records. We’ve always had plans to work on an edition for Singapore, and now we have a collection of 45 vintage Singapore records, that will be out soon and ready for purchase! With this edition, @visit_singapore gave us a chance to dive into the history and to truly understand the value and weight of every single record in this collection. This volume ‘Let’s Go Go: The Sounds of Singapore’ is a collection spanning our own Singapore record history, be it songs that were pressed locally, covers printed by our own printing presses, record labels picking up local talent, new language covers released from our homeland to other countries, or songs that were brought to our country to be played on our radios. In the end, there really is nothing cooler than holding history between your fingertips in a black vinyl.
