As the sun sets over the prairie, a whole new world comes to life! Join us at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary for Prairie Lights & Night Sights, a family-friendly evening of nighttime exploration. Enjoy an evening filled with educational games, night hikes, and hands-on insect discovery with Lepidopterist Neil Dankert! We’ll use special lights and white sheets to attract fascinating nighttime insects and uncover the hidden creatures of the prairie after dark. Families can sign up for evening prairie hikes that take you through the prairies and woodlands along the Platte river. It’s a perfect night for curious kids and nature-loving families. This magical summer evening is a chance to experience the prairie in a whole new light. This event requires registration and is $10 per family. Please bring a water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
