As soon as David Protein bars were released in 2024, I was obsessed. From the chewy texture to the decadent dessert flavors and effortless macros, I was snacking on them all the time. But when they changed their formula in 2025, I was devastated. All too many brands have taken a nearly perfect product and reformulated, leaving something subpar in its wake. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? With fears that it could never live up to the original, I held off on trying the new formula. I failed to find something better, so I’m trying three of the new bars to see how they compare. I went in with low expectations for flavor, but could David bars prove me wrong?
