🤣 Low key disturbing. What is WRONG with runners in Canada?! I'm including myself here...but oh wow we're an odd bunch. For some context, I get to speak with a TON of runners because of our honey gels. This picture is one I did for a guide on how some runners like to warm up the honey gels...in their coffee. As I was saying...an odd bunch...that's a different post though. 🤣 This post is about what runners put their bodies through...especially in Canada. It is because of our gels that I've met and talked with countless runners all across Canada. I have to say I have never met a nicer community of people who are so unrelentingly mean to their own bodies. 🤣 Canadian trail runners especially win the nasty trophy considering our ridiculous winters and the fact that they still get out there logging their miles (or km...I guess) prepping for next season. Just scrolling through my feed in the winter means countless images of frost covered Canadians low key bragging about the amount of frost on their beard or their eyelashes. "My eyes are glued shut guys!"🤣 Heaven forbid it's a -50 wind chill...that's like cat-nip for outdoor runners! Who does that?! Winter running sucks...you can't change my mind. You're going to say the good outweighs the bad. It's toughening me up. And yes, there's a small part of me that thinks I might just be a baby...but come on! I live in Saskatchewan! I want to try again this year...Maybe I just need some tips on clothing...but for even wanting to put my body through all that...what's wrong with me? 🤣
