His work encompasses organizational development, Christian writing and publishing, biblical study, ministry resources, technology and systems development, and the continued expansion of TSN's online Christian community. His professional background includes approximately two and a half decades in social services, along with more than three and a half decades of local-church service. Craig's focus often begins with the question: “WHAT COULD WE BUILD THAT WOULD HELP US REACH AND SERVE PEOPLE?” ❤️ TAMMY — PEOPLE, COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT As Senior Executive Vice President, Tammy J. Cooper brings another essential perspective. Her leadership responsibilities encompass Communication & Community Engagement, Ministerial Support, and Support Services. Tammy brings compassion, empathy, practical thinking, and what we describe as a “shepherd's heart” for people and ministry. Her focus helps make sure another question remains part of TSN's development: “HOW WILL THIS ACTUALLY HELP THE PERSON WE'RE TRYING TO SERVE?” Both questions matter. 💡 SOMETIMES AN IDEA BEGINS WITH TAMMY ShepherdScroll™ is a wonderful example. The concept began with Tammy's vision for an online church-style bulletin—something that could bring the familiar usefulness of a traditional church bulletin into The Shepherd Network's digital environment. That idea eventually developed into ShepherdScroll™, a distinctive continuous-scroll ministry experience incorporating elements such as Scripture, prayer, hymns, Christian encouragement, and ministry information. It demonstrates something important about leadership at TSN: Good ideas don't have to originate with the person whose title says “Founder.” They should come from wherever God has provided the gifts, experience, creativity, and perspective to recognize an opportunity to serve. 🤝 LEADERSHIP ISN'T ABOUT BEING IDENTICAL Craig and Tammy don't approach every situation exactly the same way. And that's valuable. One may naturally concentrate on systems, structure, development, writing, or the larger vision. The other may see immediately how a decision affects communication, relationships, support, and the individual person on the other side of the screen. One perspective can challenge the other. One can identify something the other overlooked. And together, those perspectives can produce something stronger than either could create alone. ✝️ BUT THE PURPOSE MUST REMAIN BIGGER THAN EITHER OF THEM The Shepherd Network isn't supposed to be about Craig. It isn't supposed to be about Tammy. And it certainly isn't being built so that people will follow either of them. The purpose is to serve. To encourage. To pray. To communicate biblical truth. To create Christian resources. To help people connect. To encourage people who have become disconnected from church or community to begin taking steps toward relationships again. And ultimately, to point people toward JESUS CHRIST. 🌎 ONLINE CONNECTION SHOULD LEAD SOMEWHERE Craig and Tammy share an important hope for The Shepherd Network: That people don't remain permanently behind a screen. Someone may begin by reading a devotional. Then submit a prayer request. Then join an online conversation. Then begin talking with people closer to home. Perhaps that leads to a community activity. A local event. A volunteer opportunity. New friendships. And eventually, we hope, involvement in a GOOD LOCAL CHURCH. Because The Shepherd Network is not intended to replace the local church. If TSN helps someone who has been disconnected become involved in their community, develop relationships, walk through the doors of a local church, and eventually discover their own opportunities to serve— WE CONSIDER THAT SUCCESS. 🙏 FROM RECEIVING TO SERVING Perhaps the most beautiful outcome would be seeing someone arrive at TSN needing encouragement and eventually become the person providing encouragement to someone else. Someone who once requested prayer begins praying for others. Someone who once felt isolated begins welcoming newcomers. Someone who needed help discovers an opportunity to serve. Someone who had no church home becomes part of a local congregation. And someone who once wondered whether there was still a place for them discovers that God can still use their life in service to others. That's bigger than a website.
