Penwork Kalamkari dupattas are created slowly, entirely by hand. Unlike block-printed Kalamkari, these motifs are drawn freehand using a pen made from tamarind twigs. Every line is intentional. Every curve is guided by the hand. Shipped Worldwide! The fabric is first treated to accept natural dyes. Motifs are then drawn one section at a time, dyed, washed, and dried repeatedly. This layered process gives Pen Kalamkari its depth and clarity. Colours settle into the cloth instead of sitting on the surface. Because each motif is hand-drawn, no two dupattas are identical. Slight shifts in line thickness or spacing are natural and expected. They confirm the human hand behind the work. The cotton or silk base remains breathable and soft, making these dupattas easy to wear and layer. Over time, the fabric softens further while the colours remain grounded. This is not fast decoration. It is drawn fabric. Worn daily, understood slowly.
