DO NOT buy Amazon potty training pants!! Not unless you want to be cleaning up puddles from the floor 5 times a day. I should've just started with the UpAiry ones. It would've saved me a lot of stress. Here's the thing… I kept seeing parents online mention UpAiry training pants. 5 star reviews, positive feedback, saying their child was fully trained in weeks. But I was skeptical about the price. How can a pair of underwear be $21.00?? So I went with the cheaper ones from Amazon, thinking they would be the same… I was wrong. They might look the same. They might feel the same. They might let kids feel wet just the same. But they ARE NOT the same. Training pants are designed to give sensory feedback. They pee in them, they feel the wetness on their skin, their brain gets the feedback it needs to learn. Unlike diapers that absorb moisture in seconds. They stay perfectly dry. They don't get the chance to feel their accidents. But here's the difference… The Amazon ones just leaked. EVERYWHERE! From the very first use I was constantly cleaning up accidents from the floor. She was starting to show awareness after day 2, but the mess was too much, so I had no choice but to put her back in diapers. Then I ordered the UpAiry ones. Exact same thing happened. She started to recognize her accidents. She looked down and said "Mommy, I'm wet." She'd never said that when she was wearing diapers. Only this time there was NO MESS. The UpAiry ones have an outer layer that catches accidents and ACTUALLY keeps everything contained. Day 6: She was telling me every time. She even started taking herself to the potty on her own. Day 11: She was making it to the potty most of the time. Still the occasional accident but way less than before. Day 14: She was fully trained. Using the potty on her own without any encouragement. I couldn't believe how fast they worked. So if you're anything like me, and you're debating whether a pair of underwear are really worth $21.00? Trust me, they are. I've tried both and UpAiry won hands down. They helped my daughter potty train in two weeks (without the mess). And because they're reusable, they actually work out cheaper than buying diapers every other week, so when you think about it they're actually a saving. I'm not trying to sell these to anyone. I don't have any connection with the brand. But I've tried the cheaper ones, and now I understand that they're cheaper for a reason.
