I woke up today wrestling—emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Night terrors. Didn’t get up on time. And that heavy “ick” feeling just lingered… like a dark cloud I couldn’t shake. It felt like hurt, anger, panic—all at once. And then I got mad at myself for feeling that way. Even my grounding tools weren’t working. So… stubbornly, I turned to scripture. I was behind in my reading but don't want anyone thinking for me 🧐. Reading comes 1st lesson 2nd lol. I was reading in Moses 32–34 about the Israelites and the golden calf—how they broke their covenants almost immediately. And Moses? He was angry too. But he still went back up the mountain… still chose to stand between them and God. He even said he’d take their punishment if he could. That kind of love stopped me. Because while only Christ can truly carry our sins, Moses showed what it looks like to *love people anyway*—even when they mess up, even when it hurts. I was still feeling “grrr”… so I prayed again. Then the song “Rescue” kept coming to mind. So I listened. And it hit me differently this time— like my Savior was calling out to *me*. It reminded me of my mom… how she never gave up on me, even when I hurt her. My dad too. There were no winners in those hard seasons—just people who had been hurt. And now, as a mom myself… I get it. My kids are my greatest joy—and sometimes my deepest heartbreak. But even on my worst day, if they needed me? Nothing could stop me from going to them. Nothing. So I started thinking… Have you ever felt that kind of love? For a child? A parent? A friend? Even after rejection? Even after hurt? Do you ever wonder where you stand with God… with Jesus Christ? Because here’s what I felt today: “I will send out an army to find you In the middle of the darkest night It’s true—I will rescue you I will never stop marching to reach you In the middle of the hardest fight It’s true—I will rescue you.” If the world ever makes you feel like no one has your back… you are not alone. Christ does. He is relentless in loving, forgiving, and reaching for us. May we become a little more like Him— reaching, rescuing, and refusing to give up on each other. Hope you like some of my favorite pictures 🥰
