RUN TO JESUS NOW DAILY DEVOTIONAL Wednesday, 24 June 2026 Topic: COME OUT OF SPIRITUAL SLEEP Key Scripture: "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed." – Romans 13:11 (KJV) Meditation We are living in the last days, and many believers have become spiritually asleep. Spiritual sleep comes when we neglect prayer, lose our hunger for God's Word, become comfortable with sin, and allow the things of this world to take the place of Jesus in our hearts. The devil knows his time is short, so he is fighting to keep people distracted and unprepared for the coming of Christ. This is not the time to sleep spiritually. It is time to wake up, repent, and draw close to God. Perhaps you have become cold in your relationship with Jesus. Maybe your prayer life has weakened, your love for souls has faded, or you have allowed worldly things to take your attention away from God. The Lord is calling you today: Run to Jesus now and be saved! Jesus is still calling sinners and backsliders to Himself. His arms are open, and His mercy is available. Do not delay your repentance because tomorrow is not promised. Supporting Scriptures Ephesians 5:14 – "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Matthew 24:42 – "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." 1 Peter 5:8 – "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil... walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." Revelation 3:2 – "Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain." Lessons for Today Spiritual sleep is dangerous. Jesus is coming very soon. Prayer and God's Word keep us spiritually awake. Repentance restores our fellowship with God. Every believer must remain watchful. The time to return to Jesus is now. Those who endure to the end shall be saved. Do not allow the cares of this world to separate you from God. The Holy Spirit is calling the church to wake up. Run to Jesus now and be saved before it is too late. Prayer Heavenly Father, forgive me for every area of spiritual weakness and sleep. Awaken my heart to seek You again. Restore my first love, increase my hunger for Your Word, and fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to live ready for the coming of Jesus Christ. I choose today to run back to Jesus and remain faithful until the end. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
