Made my first little Loffy shadow box with the Cricut Maker 5! #ad I’ve been making prints, stickers, and other paper goodies for my mail club every month, and I’ve always wondered what else I could do with paper crafts. Then last week I came across shadow box art and got instantly curious. The idea is basically to separate an illustration into different layers, then stack them together to create that 3D depth. One of the trickiest parts is cutting out all the different shapes cleanly, especially the smaller details, but the Cricut Maker 5 handled that part so smoothly. And it’s definitely not just for paper crafts! The Maker 5 can cut materials up to 3mm thick, including foam core, leather, corrugated plastic, and cardboard, and it can even engrave on acrylic.
